PPG Donates Paint to C-47 Restoration!!
C-47B "Aluminum Mistress" received a great donation last year extending into the current year. We have got "Gallons" of aviation primer and paint, matched to that of the WWII Color Hue Chart for the interior paint color set by Douglas Aircraft. This was all setup by Matthew Anger of the AAF, through an email he sent to PPG. Shortly after, paint started getting delivered and we have been able to start painting the newly bead blasted interior of the aircraft. The set of photos below will show the before, during and after shots of the interior being overhauled as an addition to the C-47 restoration page, which is currently under revision. More information to follow shortly.Again, Thank You to PPG for making painting the interior of this aircraft possible, helping Non-Profit Foundations such as ourselves, Fulfill the promise of restoring and preserving these Aircraft for future generations to see!
